Class Description: The purpose of this course is to provide the basic and some advance concepts of the Cost Engineering application Success Estimator as it pertains to detail and change order estimates.
This NAVFAC mandated program is computer-based and designed to train Architectural / Engineering firms, Contractors, and DOD personnel of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command and U S Marine Corps how to develop detailed, and change order estimates using this program. In this class, students will learn, from a Capital Improvements business line perspective, the fundamentals of preparing proper types of cost estimate for various project types and how To use this application effectively.
The cost is $995.00 per student to participate. Payment arrangements with U.S. Cost, Inc. will be confirmed before the beginning of the course.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  2. Create an estimate using different databases and techniques for doing inputs to success estimator

  3. Create an estimate using the work breakdown structure (WBS) template for design bid build projects

  4. Create and estimate using the and Uniformat II template for design build projects

  5. Understand how to prepare an estimate using detail line items
